What is kratom?

Kratom is a medicinal plant with powerful effects, native to Southeast Asia. These leaves are composed of over 40 different molecules, two of which are responsible for the therapeutic and euphoric properties of this plant. It is a tree of 3 to 30 metres tall and has several subspecies in the family; hence the diversity of the properties of kratom, as the leaves carrying the molecules are taken from different species of the plant. Initially, it was used as an opium and then other properties were identified for the plant. This link informs you.
Thus, kratom is a stimulant, relaxant, aphrodisiac, euphoric plant and it also provides effects similar to those of opium or cocaine. These leaves are now available everywhere, because of the benefits that consumers gain from them.

Active molecules and use of kratom

Mitragynine (MG) and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-HMG) are the two active molecules in kratom leaves. They are compared to CBD and THC in cannabis plants. Here MG corresponds to CBD and has therapeutic properties, while 7-HMG like THC has psychoactive properties. To this day, scientists know little about how the plant's leaves work in the body. But wild kratom from Southeast Asia contains many more active substances than plants from other regions or pot-grown kratom.
Therefore, it is possible to consume the green or raw kratom leaf directly. It is available in powder form and can be consumed as a tea. It is a customary medicine for pain and fatigue in Thailand.
